Kolora Lodge has been established into a very up-to-date breaking, pre-training and spelling centre for racehorses. With less than an hour to the Gold coast or Brisbane, Kolora is located in between the two main race tracks in Queensland. With the knowledge and expertise of Peter McMahon, Kolora has been developed into a first-class destination for many of Australia’s leading trainers to send their horses to. Pete’s passion is breaking in and giving a horse solid foundations for the future. His attention to detail is clearly shown when the horse leaves the property better educated and more developed than when it arrives.  

 

With so many horses on the property we have the best team constantly working to give the horses the very best care. All of the hard feeds are supplied by Riverina and are varied depending on the horse’s requirements and no small detail gets over looked. We pride ourselves on getting the horses looking a million dollars by the time they leave our gates. 

 

We aren’t a breeding farm, but we do breed our own showjumpers and racehorses. But with this knowledge it means we can better accommodate every horse, from foals/weanlings onwards. We have over 70 spelling paddocks on our main property, allowing us to accommodate a large number of spellers. Also at Kolora2 (our other spelling property) we have 16 spacious shared paddocks, with room to construct more on the 60-acre property. 

 

Kolora has 5 star facilities such as 2 well maintained horse walkers (8 and 10 horse walkers), an aqua walker, a brand-new treadmill which is being installed in April 2018, an indoor sand round yard, seperate sand and grass arenas, 2 sets of Simtrack starting gates, 1600m elevating track, also a separate 400m grass straight jump out, over 80 stables and many more amazing features. Everything is exceptionally maintained and of highest standard for your beloved horses, we don’t settle for anything less.
